Working after taking such a long break is actually a welcome change.
In fact, earlier I was so scared that I would never be able to return to the office life that I once had fallen in love with.
The icing on the cake is that the work given to me
is not too much deadline oriented.
Since after being a mother, your child becomes first priority
no matter what, its good that work life balance is a practice
very much followed in US. In fact, Managers like to tell you
that they are going because a plumber is needed at home (really!!?) or because their daughter has a school function. These excuses would be smirked at if they were made in an Indian IT company for sure.
Environment is professional without being preachy. No one
wears the so called formal clothes (and I mean it). Its like
"my work speaks for me, not my clothes".
Working in Microsoft is surely a dream come true but once
you get here, its like,
"Hey, it feels like just any other IT company" :)
