The flowers of Gulmohar

Image
So My Mom got small plants of 'Gulmoher' home. People told her, it won't be of much use since Gulmoher flowers never grow in vases. She heard them, but she didn't lose her enthusiasm. She got the soil changed, trimmed the stems,    nurtured them and cared for them for months. One fine day, Flowers of Gulmoher bloomed in those vases. Nurturing to achieve Excellence is my Mom's Core Skill. She made an engineer, a journalist and a wild life researcher out of 3 mediocre girls for whom she was told very much the same things. But she Knows... Love, Care and Faith can achieve Miracles.

The Curious Case of SRK

Shah Rukh Khan. A name synonymous with Romance in Hindi Cinema. This is an analysis about why the SRK brand of cinema is not working in today's times. SRK started his movie career in the 90s with a small but integral role in Deewana (1992). Though he played second fiddle to other actors in movies like Dil Aashna hai(1993), Chamatkaar(1993) and King Uncle (1993); his big break came with Baazigar(1993)- in which he was noticed by the industry. After that he tried his luck with similar movies displaying his negative shades like Darr(1993) and Anjaam(1994). When Yashraj finally approached him for the role of Raj in Dilwale dulhania Lejayenge(1995), SRK struck gold. Not only did he get the role of a lifetime, but he established an immensely good rapport with the production house. He became the King of romance by doing movies like Dil toh pagal hai(1997),Kuch kuch hota hai(1998) and Kabhi khushi kabhi gham.(2001) Even though these movies came...

My Favorite Childhood Story by Mom

Once upon a time, lived a king who had 2 sons and a daughter. Every one was sure heir to the throne would be either of the sons. Then one day, the king fell sick and after consulting various physicians, he lay on his deathbed when a magician predicted that he can be saved if someone could capture a Magic Parrot that lived far across the hills.    The Magic parrot could talk, was all knowledgeable and knew the cure to all existing diseases.
